Advanced Broadband Wedge-Shaped Absorber

WAVASORB® WG is a premium series of solid, wedge-shaped absorbers manufactured from carbon-loaded urethane foam. The absorber geometry is specifically optimized for wave propagation in tapered chamber sections, where energy travels nearly parallel to the absorber surface rather than perpendicular.

The wedge configuration significantly reduces backscattered fields compared to pyramidal absorbers, making WAVASORB® WG the preferred solution for specialized high-performance EMC and antenna testing environments.

    Installation & Integration

    WAVASORB® WG is typically bonded to metallic chamber surfaces using WAVASORB® Adhesive, ensuring secure fixation and long-term reliability.

    For flexible or exchangeable configurations, modular installation techniques are available including velcro-fastener systems and plate & rail mounting solutions to achieve precise geometry and alignment, compatible with any shielding type.

    Multiple configuration variables are available such as plastic coating, painting/coating colours and factory-installed self-adhesive tape to meet specific mechanical or environmental requirements.
