For more than seven decades, E&C Anechoic Chambers has been shaping the way electromagnetic performance is measured, validated and trusted. From pioneering absorber technologies to delivering some of the world’s most advanced anechoic chambers, E&C combines scientific heritage with engineering excellence to support mission-critical testing worldwide.
E&C Anechoic Chambers originates from a deep scientific understanding of electromagnetic behavior. What began as focused material research evolved into a global reference for anechoic chamber design, absorber manufacturing and turnkey testing environments.
By continuously translating theoretical knowledge into practical, high-performance solutions, E&C has become a trusted partner for industries where accuracy, repeatability and compliance are non-negotiable. Today, E&C solutions support aerospace, defense, automotive, telecommunications, research institutions and advanced electronics across the globe.
Innovation at E&C is never abstract. Every absorber geometry, chamber layout and integration detail is driven by real-world measurement challenges. From EMC compliance to antenna and microwave validation, E&C solutions are designed to eliminate uncertainty and deliver reliable, repeatable results.
This approach has led to numerous milestones, including the development of large hollow absorbers for EMC applications, hybrid absorber technologies, and the realization of some of the largest and most complex anechoic chambers ever built. Each project reflects a balance between material science, mechanical engineering and electromagnetic expertise.
Operating as part of the Albatross Projects Group, E&C Anechoic Chambers works closely with engineering and production teams across Europe, Asia and the Americas. Absorber manufacturing is supported by dedicated facilities in Belgium and India, ensuring consistent quality, scalability and technical control.
This global structure allows E&C to support international projects with local expertise, while maintaining a unified engineering philosophy and quality standard worldwide.
E&C Anechoic Chambers traces its roots back to 1948, when Cherry L. Emerson and Dr. William R. Cuming founded Emerson & Cuming in Canton, Massachusetts, USA. Their early work laid the scientific foundation for advanced electromagnetic materials and absorber technologies that would later define the industry.
Driven by curiosity, precision and a strong belief in applied science, the founders established principles that still guide E&C today: rigorous research, uncompromising quality and practical engineering solutions. Their legacy continues to influence every chamber, absorber and testing environment delivered under the E&C name.
